Physical Education
Physical Education is required of all students for 1 year during the 4 years at
Ursuline.
Challenging individual activities such as ice skating, self-defense, personal
fitness, archery, bowling, and racket sports will emphasize personal growth and
the development of self-confidence.
Physical Fitness /Weight training
This course is designed to improve students' current level of physical fitness, as
well as provide a knowledge base related to the components of physical fitness,
such as basic human anatomy and training principals. Students will also
develop a personalized fitness / weight training plan designed to enhance their
needs.
Health Education
Health is required of all sophomore students. The goal of the health education
course is to promote healthy behaviors and responsible decision making to the
students. Issues in fitness, safety, alcohol / drug use, first aid, emotional health,
and HIV / AIDS, will serve to broaden student awareness in all aspects of
wellness.
